Amera Brooke Mace, age 41, passed away Saturday, September 3, 2016.
Amera was a loving mother and soon to be grandmother. She was a free spirit who always thought of others before herself and would always tend to those in need before her own. She loved to make people laugh and would hold you if you cried. Amera was the best wife a man could ever ask for, there are no words to describe the deep love I will always have you. I promise that love will never go away. She loved to read books, eat crawfish, enjoyed the beach, and loved to cook; especially chicken and dumplings, fried chicken and sweet potato pie. She loved to garden and tend to her plants and she especially loved Alabama football ""Roll Tide!""
Amera wishes are to be spread in the ocean. I will honor you baby by spreading our ashes in as many oceans and seas as I can so you can forever swim with the dolphins and live in the sunsets. You were my angel sent from heaven and now you're back with your mom and with your wings.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Debbie Gayle Kirkland; her granddaddy, Charles Smith; her granny, Robbie Smith, her grandmother and grandfather, Doris and Julius Shell; and her great-grandmother, Louise Basemore.
Amera is survived by her husband, Michael Mace; her father and step mother, Mike and Teresa Shell; her sons, Skylan ""Sky"" Williams and Charles ""Boogie"" Williams; her sister, Kristi Shell, and her niece, Rikki Shell; and her great niece, Destyni Kirkland.
A private service will be held Sunday, September 10, 2016 for family and close friends; please contact the family for information. Burial will be in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. (Southern girl is going to end up North after all.)
