Alyce Scoggins, age 62 and a resident of Long Beach, died on Thursday, August 8, 2013, in Gulfport.
Mrs. Scoggins was a native of Mississippi and had been a resident of Long Beach for the past 12 years. She was a loving wife, devoted mother, and a faithful friend to many.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Annie Scoggins. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years, Wesley A. Scoggins of Long Beach; her sons, Phillip Peyton (Terry) Scoggins of Seattle, WA, Wesley Nowlin Scoggins and Joseph Kameron Scoggins both of Long Beach; her parents, Gordon & Nita Phillips of Franklin, KY and her brothers, Gary Phillips of Franklin, KY and Pete (Mary Beth) Phillips of Tupelo.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 12, 2013, at 11am at First United Methodist Church in Long Beach, where family and friends may visit thirty minutes prior to the service.
The family requests that memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 2159 E. Pass Road, Gulfport, MS 39507.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, 19130 Commission Road in Long Beach, assisted the family with arrangements.
