Alton "Sonny" Franklin Simpson, Jr.

Alton "Sonny" Franklin Simpson, Jr., age 86 of Ocean Springs, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2026.

Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, Alton and Louise Simpson and his sister, Mary Myrick.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Sharon Foley Simpson; his daughter, Heather (Scott) Burke of Destin, FL; his grandson, Vincent Prescott; and his brother, Don Simpson.

Dearest Friends, 

Sonny and I have had a wonderful life on this crazy planet of ours. We have no regrets. So, because of this, we have decided to donate any funeral monies to charities that can do a little bit of good. Better spent on a good project than on us.

So, we say goodbye from both of us (Even if one of us has to go first).
