Alton bruce Allen

Alton Bruce Allen, Sr age 74 resident of Gulfport, died Thursday, July 12, 2007 at his home in Gulfport.
Mr. Allen was a native and life long resident of Gulfport where he graduated from Gulfport High School and attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. Mr. Allen was a building contractor, and a member of the Gulfport Police Reserves, and a former member of the Gulfport Planning Commission.
Mr. Allen was preceded in death by his parents, Colin and Audrey Allen, and a brother Reavis Allen.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda Allen; his children, Cathy Thompson of Louisville, KY, Gail Matthews of Gulfport, Alton Bruce Allen, Jr and wife Rebekah, of Gulfport, and Kyle Allen of Biloxi; his brothers Gordon Allen, Sr of Gulfport, Thomas Allen of Atlanta, GA; his grandchildren Elizabeth and Lauren Allen of Gulfport, Chrissy Wunbernich of Louisville, KY, Bobby Thompson , Louisville, KY, Amy Thompson of Louisville, KY, Katie and Thomas Matthews of Mobile AL, and Lacey and Tara Allen of Perkinston.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 14, 2007, from 9:00-10:00 a.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY'S Gulf Coast Funeral Homes, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. Memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment at a later date at Gulf Pines Memorial Gardens in Long Beach.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorial be made to the Special Olympics,
