Allene Ruth Smith Tellier

Allene Ruth Smith Tellier, born on March 24, 1953, at Keesler Medical Center in Biloxi, Mississippi, passed away peacefully on September 1, 2024, in Mobile, Alabama at the age of 71.

Growing up in Gulfport, Mississippi, Allene would have graduated from Gulfport High School in 1970, but Hurricane Camille forced her family to relocate to Nederland, Colorado, for her senior year. It was during her time living in New Orleans, Louisiana, in 1973 that she met the love of her life, Dwight Tellier. They were married in 1974 and spent many wonderful years traveling together for Dwight's career in the Air Force.

In 1987, Allene and Dwight decided to settle down and opened their business, Music Equipment Repair, which was later renamed Dwight Tellier Church Organs. Despite her strong dislike for all things mathematical, Allene was a meticulous bookkeeper for their business, a role she fulfilled with dedication until her passing.

Allene was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 45 years, Dwight Tellier, and her parents, Frederick W. Smith and Iva Ruth Hartman. She is survived by her loving daughters, Tania (Mac) Brooks and Tabatha (Rob) Dambrino; her cherished grandchildren, Maddy Brooks, Mia Brooks, Tyler Dambrino, and Taylor Dambrino; her lifelong friend and cousin, Deborah Jo Paradies; and her brothers, Fred Smith, Johnny Smith, and Paul Smith. She also leaves behind numerous other extended family members and friends.

Allene was an environmentally conscious individual long before it became popular, always recycling and reusing whenever possible. She was known for her unfiltered opinions and sound advice, never hesitating to share her thoughts. A woman of faith, Allene loved God and her family deeply and was always ready to help anyone in need. Even after her children had grown, she continued to nurture and care for those around her, extending her kindness and compassion to all who crossed her path.

Above all, Allene adored her grandchildren and spent a great deal of time supporting them in their endeavors, passing along invaluable life lessons. Her family and friends will forever miss her radiant smile and kind heart, but they find comfort in knowing that she is now celebrating in Heaven and waiting until they can be reunited.
