Allen Hunter

Allen C. Hunter, age 69, of Gulfport, passed away on March 10, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his step-father, Ambers Shoemaker; and a sister, Cynthia Applegate.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Loretta B. Hunter; his children, Cherie Carlson (Stephen), and Michael A. Hunter; his mother, Cleety Shoemaker; 3 siblings, Letitia Wisner (Kevin), Robert Applegate, and Lennie Applegate; 1 grandchildren, Nicholas Carlson; his best friend, Stanley E. Wooten; and other relatives and friends.
He served in the U.S. Navy SeaBee's during the Vietnam War.  He was a dealer at Casino Magic and Boomtown Casino and he was a volunteer at the USO.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing and he was an avid New Orleans Saints fan and LSU Tigers fan.
The funeral service will be on Friday, March 16, 2018, at 12:00 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport.  A visitation will be held for family and friends from 10 am - 12:00 pm.  Interment will be in Biloxi National Cemetery.
