Long Beach

Allan E. Bellamy, 80 of Long Beach formerly of Springfield, MO passed away on May 30, 2024 at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport, MS.   He was born on December 18, 1943 in Cape Girardeau, MO to the late Charles & Lillian Bellamy.  Allan is preceded in death by his parents; brother and sister in-law, Tom & Ginny Bellamy.

Allan was born in Cape Girardeau, MO and graduated from Central High School.  After High School he attended Southeastern Missouri State University where he met a lovely lady Brenda.  They were married on May 24, 1963.  Together they moved to Robinson, IL and opened Dairy Mart and Brass Lantern Restaurant and operated them for 5 years.  From there Allan and his family moved to Springfield, MO and became a salesperson for Ronnoco Coffee for many years.  They resided in Missouri for the next 30 years, and later retired to Long Beach in 2016.

Allan enjoyed being in the outdoors going golfing, camping, and boating.  He also loved having a good time and being with family and friends having a cold Busch Beer.  Allan was a member of the Restaurant Association and various other organizations throughout his life.  He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend to so many.   Allan will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Allan is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Brenda Bellamy; daughter, Kim Bellamy of Long Beach; son, Scott (Michelle) Bellamy of Olathe, KS; sister in-law and brother in-law, Sharon & Marion Tibbs; grandchildren, Ashlee Davis (Richard Perdue) of Long Beach, Cole Bellamy of Olathe, and Drew Bellamy of Olathe; great grandchildren, Jayda and Brayden. Allan also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.  

Riemann Family Funeral Home, Long Beach is assisting the family.
