Alisha Dawn Stiglets

September 19, 1962 — November 22, 2025

Gulfport, MS

Alisha Dawn Stiglets, age 63, of Gulfport, Mississippi, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at UMC in New Orleans, Louisiana.

A lifelong Gulfport native, Alisha was a woman whose heart was as generous as it was strong. She lived her life with joy, devotion, and an unwavering love for her family love that will forever echo in the hearts of all who knew her.

Alisha was preceded in death by her mother, June Ramsey Pollard; her father, Thomas Stiglets; her maternal grandparents, Alva P. Ramsey and Cecille Ramsey; her paternal grandparents; and many treasured loved ones who welcomed her home.

Her greatest treasures in this life were her children: her daughter, Brandy Mays (Prince Williams); her sons, Nicholas Jenkins, Jaquel Walters, and Mychael Jenkins; her bonus daughter, Cristina Camarena; and the many children she lovingly took in as her own. Alisha’s love had no boundaries if you needed a mother, she became one.

She is also survived by her siblings: her sister, Amy Malone; her brother, John Stiglet (Rosa); her brother, Rick Bell; and her bonus sister, Christine O’Shields.

To her grandchildren—DeAireous Mays, Tameia (Kalvin) Walden, Charity Mays, Xuri Jenkins, Jaquel Walters Jr., Ariana Walters, Madyson Walters, Cassidy Walters, and Lola Walters—she was a constant source of laughter, comfort, and unconditional love.

Her legacy extends to her great-grandchildren—Kanelo Walden, Amora Walden, Tatum Mays, and Brya Walden—who brought her immeasurable joy.

Alisha also leaves behind a large and loving extended family, including many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Special appreciation is extended to Denise Bilello, Herbert Carver, and Debbie Moran, whose companionship, support, and love uplifted her throughout her life.

Alisha graduated from high school, completed some college, and later earned her certification from Chris’s Beauty College. Her career was as vibrant as her personality she was once known to many as DJ Allison Steele on a local radio station, where her lively spirit filled the airwaves. She also shared her creativity through hairstyling and displayed remarkable leadership and talent in finance and management.

But more than any job title, Alisha’s life’s work was her family. She poured her heart into raising her children, celebrating their achievements, comforting their worries, and guiding them with quiet strength. Her children and grandchildren were her purpose, her joy, and her proudest accomplishment.

She was a woman who embraced the simple joys—cheering for her beloved New Orleans Saints, laughing with her family, supporting her children at their sporting events, and delighting in a visit to the casino during her peaceful moments. Her faith was deeply rooted, and her church family held a cherished place in her heart. She prayed earnestly, loved wholeheartedly, and lived generously.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS, beginning at 9:00 AM. A funeral service celebrating her beautiful life will follow at 10:00 AM.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the prayers, kindness, and support shown during this difficult time.

May the memory of Alisha’s laughter, her strength, and the love she shared bring comfort to all whose lives she touched.

Her legacy lives not only in the generations she leaves behind but in the many hearts she helped shape simply by being herself.
