Alicia Lu Hendricks, age 68 of Gulfport, passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2021. She was a native of Eatontown, New Jersey.
Alicia earned an Associate Degree in Elementary Education and was a lifetime employee of Island View Casino Gift Shop. She was a featured artist at USM Gulfport Coast Library, where her glasswork exhibit was shown for four months.
She enjoyed creating beautiful, fused glass jewelry and art glass pieces for her small business. She loved selling her, as she would say, "Artsy Fartsy" glass work at local festivals, where she would chat with everyone she met. She is remembered by most as "such a kind lady" and will be missed dearly.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Anderson; her father, Charles Anderson; and her brother, Arvid Anderson.
Alicia is survived by her lifelong partner of 48 years, Robert Hendricks; her children, Trevor Hendricks (Rachel), Kristin Clark (Robert), and Laura Smith (Travis); her siblings, Charlene David (Robert), Stephen Anderson, and Patricia Crisp (James); her grandchildren, Brielle Rose-Hendricks, Kristina Mathews, Anastasia Burton, Dakota Clark, Ashley Hanson, Natalee Hanson, Linnie Smith, Charles Smith, Conner Hanson, Christopher Smith, and Shawna Smith; and her longtime friend, Glenn Rishton.
