Alfreda Bond

On April 11, 2013, Arie Alfreda Bond was called home to be with the good Lord and the rest of her loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her son, David Ronald Bond, a granddaughter, Leah Renee Brooks, and her parents, Fred and Ethel Holmes as well as 8 brothers and 2 sisters. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 62 years, Ellis Bond, her daughters, Brenda Bond Lowry and husband Douglas Lowry, Sandra Bond Wandell and husband Charles Wandell, Nelda Bond Stevens and husband Sam Stevens, a son, Tim Bond and wife Crystal Bond, and Lala Bond, wife of David Bond. She has 22 wonderful grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, as well as her sisters, Doris Stiver, Nevon Rushing, Raye Brown, and a brother, Fred Holmes.
She was the best wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother anyone could have ever asked for. She loved her husband and family more than words could ever say. Her passion was her husband, family, and cooking - she made the best coconut cake, pies, and the best gumbo you ever tasted. She loved to stay up late with her brothers and sisters and play cards and dominos, not to mention slots. She and her husband could dance all night long and never miss a beat. They were meant to be together. She loved to travel always going to see her mama, family, and friends. Her nephews and nieces always thought of her as a second mom, that is how wonderful she was. Words could never express the love we all have for her and how much she will be missed. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 16, 2013, from 4 - 6 pm at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The funeral service will begin at 6 pm in the funeral home chapel.
