Albert “Al” Reid IV, 57 of Sierra Vista, AZ and formerly of New Orleans passed away at the Haven of Sierra Vista. He was born on January 11, 1967 in Fort Walton Beach, Florida to Albert Reid III & Nancy Reid. He is preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Reid.
Al was a movie buff and always enjoyed going to the movies. He enjoyed traveling the world, and especially going overseas. Al was up for going out to dinner and trying new places. He had a passion for computers and would talk to everyone about them. He was an outgoing and charismatic person, who always had friends and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Al was raised in Kenner, LA for most of his childhood. Al graduated from Bonnabel High School in Kenner in 1986. After graduation Al enlisted and left for the United States Marine Corps. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for 13 years. After the Marine Corps, Al then enlisted in the United States Navy and proudly served for 7 years before retiring in 2007.
In the Military Al did a variety of different positions and deployments. He served in the Helicopter Squadron for the President, and received the Presidential Service Badge. Al also received the Humanitarian Service Medal, Armed Forces Serve Medal, Navy Good Conduct Medal, Blue Patrol Pin with 3 Stars, and many other Armed Services accolades.
Al is survived by his daughter, Sophia Reid; father, Albert Reid III; siblings, Dana Reid (Alona Mabanta), and Mathew (Julie) Reid. Al also leaves behind to cherish his memory a host of nephews, cousins, friends, and extended family.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 1, 2024 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at the Reimann Family Funeral Home, Biloxi (274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi). His Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, April 1, 2024 at the Riemann Family Funeral Home, Biloxi (274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi). Graveside Services with Full Military Honors will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
