Addie Virginia Marsh Ross
Addie Virginia Marsh Ross, age 90, passed away 12/15/2015 in Encino, CA.
She was a graduate of Gulfport High School and was preceded in death by
her husband, Norman Fritz Ross. She lived in Gulfport, MS for over 80 years and resided
the last 10 years in CA. She is survived by her two daughters, Addie Jean Ross and Ida
Rebecca Ross, both of Encino, CA. Virginia was a life-long member of the Coalville Methodist
Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ida Leuenberger Marsh, and
John Selma Marsh. Virginia is preceded in death by her sister, Myrtle Marsh Beyenberg
Forrest, a 30-year resident of Southern CA who passed away in Palm Springs-Palm
Desert, CA. Virginia worked for Stribling Brothers Machinery Company (Caterpillar
Company) and Coast Coca Cola Bottling Company, both companies of Gulfport, MS during the
1940s. Virginia was a member of the Woolmarket Garden Club in the 1960s. In late 2001 she
was a volunteer at the Miramar U.S. Marine Corps Base Library in San Diego, CA.. Her
hobbies were sewing, cooking, reading, gardening and pet sitting.
Visitation will be on Thursday, December 24, 2015, from 11 am 12 pm at Coalville United Methodist Church. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon. Interment will be in Coalville Cemetery.
