Addie Jean Ross, age 68, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2017 in Gulfport.
Addie was a resident of Biloxi and was formerly of Encino, CA. She graduated from Jeff Davis Jr. College, the Univ. of Southern Mississippi and William Carey University and had degrees in English Literature, Business Administration and a Masters in Library Science. Addie was retired as a U.S. Government employee, previously working with Miramar Base (Top Gun) Library, San Diego, CA, the Dept. of Fish & Wildlife, Ventura, CA; OSCHA, San Francisco, CA, and the Dept. of Veterans Affairs, Los Angeles, CA.
Addie was a member of Coalville United Methodist Church. She loved writing and was an excellent writer and editor. She survived respiratory failure with a tracheotomy in 2013. She had a vivacious personality with always a hilarious sense of humor. At the end of her life, she loved watching suspense and scary movies with Becky and she had a great love for her two little dogs, Rascal-Giggles and Butterkup.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman Fritz Ross and Virginia Marsh Ross. She is survived by her sister, Ida Rebecca Ross.
The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Coalville United Methodist Church, where friends may visit one hour prior. Burial will follow at Coalville Cemetery.
