B. Aaron Foy, age 87 and a resident of Gulfport, died Sunday, June 17, 2007 in Gulfport, MS.
He was born November 28, 1919 in Meadville, MS to John M. Foy, Sr., and Sula Bankston Foy.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, John M. Foy, Jr.
Mr. Foy is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Elaine Holloway Foy and two sons: Dr. David Foy, of Westlake Village, California, and Dale Foy, of Long Beach, MS. Also surviving are three grandsons, Patrick, Daniel and Benjamin; granddaughters Elizabeth, Laura and Julie; and two great-granddaughters, Kylie and Finley; one sister, Ava Murphy, of Charleston, SC.
Mr. Foy was a graduate of Clarke Memorial College, Mississippi College, and has a Master of Theology degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
He was the pastor of churches in Amite, LA, New Augusta, MS, Perkinston, MS, Ruston, LA, Pass Christian, MS, Coy, AR, Tucker's Crossing in Laurel, MS, and in Cullomburg, AL.
He retired in 1981 and moved to Gulfport, where he was kept busy serving as an interim or as a supply pastor of 32 Baptist Churches in the Gulf Coast area. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 from 7;00 until 9:00 at the The RIEMANN FAMILY'S Gulf Coast Funeral Home, 12280 Three Rivers Rd, Gulfport. The Funeral Service will be on Thursday, June 21, 2007 at 2:00 p.m at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Floral Hills Cemetery.
