Mrs. A. Ruth Whitaker neÌe Haskew died peacefully at home on May 14, 2016 in Allen, Texas at the age of 85.
Ruth is survived by her son, Jimmy W. Whitaker, of Memphis Tennessee; Daughters, Olivia F. Whitaker of Allen, Texas and Pamela Ware of Princeton, Texas; Grandsons, Jonathan S. Ware of Mildenhall, England, Nicholas J. Ware of Naples, Florida, Justin W. Whitaker of Spanaway, Washington, Travis White of Florida and Granddaughter, Nicole A. Whitaker of Memphis, Tennessee.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. Whitaker; son, Phillip McKinley and daughter, Deborah J. White.
Ruth was born on May 8, 1931 in Selma, Alabama to Olive Bertha Haskew and Albert Coma Haskew. She was married to Joseph for 35 years.
A funeral is scheduled for Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME in Biloxi, Mississippi, where friends may visit from one hour prior. Interment will follow in the Biloxi National Cemetery. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Ruth's life.
