Hazel Scott

Hazel Joyce Head Scott, age 94, of Long Beach, passed away on April 23, 2021.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Scott, Jr; her parents, William Marshall Head and Eran Bond Head; and her siblings, Thomas Ezra Head, Ervin Head, Jewis Boone, and Vertie Mae Prestwood.

Mrs. Scott is survived by her children, Richard William Scott, Sr. (Mary), Patrick "Pat" Aubrey Scott (Donna), and Brenda Lou Necaise (Dean); 3 grandchildren, Jason Rhodes, Richard W. Scott, Jr., and Rebecca Joyce Scott; 2 step-grandchildren, Ryan Necaise and Jessica Necaise; 2 great-grandchildren, Richard W. Scott, III, and Emily Nicole Scott; and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Scott was a lifelong resident of the Long Beach and she retired after 25 years as the Supervisor of the Water and Sewage Department for the City of Long Beach. She enjoyed crocheting, Bunco, watching TV, traveling to Branson, MO, and spending time with her family.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, from 1 - 2 PM at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Road, Long Beach. The funeral service will be at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Long Beach City Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to a favorite charity.
