Sharing with the Community

Riemann Family Funeral Homes has participated in a wide variety of both on-going and seasonal events. Here are a few events we've contributed to in the past.

April Events
  • Caregiver of the Month- March 2013
    Monday, April 01, 2013 to Tuesday, April 02, 2013

This month's Caregiver of the Month is Vivian Champaigne. For those that may not know Vivian, her nomination letter says it all. It reads:

Vivian is a caregiver to the caregivers in our community! She is one of the most compassionate people you will ever meet on a one-on-one basis with seniors and vulnerable populations. As a leader in the Jackson County Senior Awareness group, she helps us stay organized and focused in sponsoring special events throughout the year. She is our "go to" person for spreading the word when we have needs in the senior community. She works tirelessly on whatever project is next on the list. Vivian doesn't know what it means to work at "a job." For her, it's a "calling" and she does so with purpose, a willing heart, and a compassionate spirit. Her enthusiasm and energy inspire us all to be better, to do better, to do more to reach the needs of our seniors in Jackson County. She volunteers in her church and community and works tirelessly to "give back." I can't think of a more deserving person to recognize than Vivian.

Thank you for everything you have done, Vivian!

They provide wigs for children who have cancer. They also provide breast prosthetics for women who have had breast cancer. Melanie Lynch, one of our own staff here at Riemann Family Funeral Homes, decorated a tree on behalf of the Pink Heart Fund this year. They received approximately $1,300 in dontation between Saturday & Sunday, which was the most by any non-profit there. As a result, they also received an additional $1,000 from Ron Meyers for the Pink Heart Fund. At the end of the festival, the tree was sold for an addition $300, bringing the grand total to $2,600 raised for the 2 days for the Pink Heart Fund.
