William Husley

William "Bill" Henry Husley, age 93, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017 in Biloxi. He served three years in the United States Navy during World War II aboard the USS Cassiopeia; he spent the next 20 years as a Navy Seabee. He received the bronze star, along with various other medals during his service to his country. He was a lifelong member of Cedar Lake United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jake Husley and Margaret Krohn Husley; brother, Teodia Husley; sisters, Lena Byrd and Leona Krohn.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Katherine "Kitty" Redmond Husley of Cedar Lake; daughter, Margaret King of Cedar Lake; son, Danny Husley (Sharon) of Cedar Lake; granddaughter, Stephanie Gruber (Anthony) of Mayport, FL; great-granddaughter, Evie Gruber of Mayport, FL; A host of friends and relatives.
A funeral service will be held 12:00PM Monday, March 27, 2017 at Cedar Lake United Methodist Church, 12332 Cedar Lake Rd, Biloxi. A visitation will be held Monday, March 27, 2017 from 10:00AM until service time at the church. A burial will follow the service at Cedar Lake Methodist Cemetery.
