William D. Cartwright, Jr., 79, of Biloxi, Mississippi passed away on April 16, 2015.
Mr. Cartwright was born in Nashville, TN and had been a resident of Biloxi for the last 38 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 until 1979. He subsequently retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a rural mail carrier.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William D. Cartwright, Sr. and Rebecca H. Cartwright; and his sister Martha Vincion.
Mr. Cartwright is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary Cartwright; a daughter Karen Woods (John) of Brandon, MS; a son Bill Cartwright (Amanda) of Biloxi, MS; and three grandchildren, Rebecca Busby, Jay Busby and Skylar Cartwright.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, from 1:15pm until 2:15pm at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Road in Biloxi.
The funeral procession will leave the funeral home at 2:15pm for a graveside service at 2:30pm at Biloxi National Cemetery.
