Viola Martha Held, 85, passed away April 19, 2014 in Gulfport, MS. She was born October 20, 1928 in Bucks County Pennsylvania to the late Max and Clara Burnick. Viola worked as a home health aide until her retirement. She moved to Missississippi two years ago to be near her granddaughter's family.
She was preceded in death by brothers, James Burnick, Edwin Burnick and William Burnick.
She is survived by her daughters, Jeanne Held and Nancy Mehal, brother, Robert Burnick, sister, Clara Zeiger, granddaughter, Jennifer Ashman (Brent), great-grandson, Orion Ashman.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2014 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until service time.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to The Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America.
