Terry "Fat Rat" Allen Broadus, Jr., age 46, of Long Beach, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 in Mobile, AL.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bruna and Hattie Loper; paternal grandparents, Howard and Nettie Broadus; and one half-sister, Stacey Stevens.
His survivors include his parents, Terry Allen Broadus, Sr., and his wife Cheryle, and Ann Broadus; two daughters, Emily and Ashley Broadus of McHenry; one sister, Andre' Dubuisson of Long Beach; one brother, Trent Broadus of Palm Springs, CA; one half-sister, Beverley Ann Bennett of Gulfport; one half brother, William Alan of Gulfport; two step brothers, Rick Conerly of Pascagoula and Jack Conerly of D'Iberville; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
Terry graduated from Long Beach High School in the Class of 1989. He thoroughly enjoyed sports and martial arts. In the past, he participated in several Tough Man contests and was nominated the first Most Valuable Player of the East/West All Star Baseball Game. Most of all, Terry enjoyed spending time with his two daughters, Emily and Ashley, whom he loved more than life itself. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 11 AM at Finley Cemetery with Rev. Beth Mathews officiating. RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport, MS is serving the family. An online obituary may be viewed and memories shared at www.riemannfamily.com
