Rosemary Burris Saunders

Rosemary Burris Saunders, 86 of Biloxi passed away Monday, May 18, 2015 in Biloxi.
Mrs. Saunders was a native of Muscatine, Iowa, and longtime resident of Biloxi. She graduated St. Mary's Academy in Amarillo, Texas Class of '46.
She retired from Keesler Air Force Base and the VA Hospital in Biloxi, and worked as a Personnel Management Specialist. She was the owner of Color Campus Talent and Modeling Agency in Biloxi for 30 years, and was the recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Model and Talent Expo.
Mrs. Saunders was a member of the mayor's Handicap Awareness Committee.
Mrs. Saunders is survived by her children, Pat Poling of Biloxi, Jackie and OJ Frentz of Jacksonville, AR, and Jamie Simmons of Biloxi; grandchildren: Cheri Trice, Cari and Michael Schultz, Jonna and Kent Thompson, Nicole and Kevin Beckham, Tori Barq, Tish and Shane Lovell, and Marc Frentz; and great-grandchildren: Greg Miller, Shelbie Miller, Tyler Simons, Macey Schultz, Jacob, Justin and Jack Parchert, Cody Foster, Nikkolas and Olyvia Beckham, Alli and Sabastian Barq, Zack and Nathan Lovell, and Samantha Frentz.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Saunders; Parents, Leonard Burris and Stella Burris; Sisters, Betty Burris Brown and Beverly Burris, and brother, James Burris.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic church where friends may visit from 9:30 a.m. until Mass. Interment will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
The family would like to give many thanks to Notre Dame Hospice staff, especially Hayden, Traci, Terrance, Jennifer and Derrick, and to Memorial Radiation Oncology, Dr. David Graham and entire staff, as well as Dr. Shahira Hanna, for all their love and support.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. Vincent De Paul Society.
