Raymond Terry

Raymond Terry, Jr., age 91 of Biloxi, MS passed away on July 20, 2017 at the Armed Forces Retirement Home in Gulfport, MS.
Raymond was born December 29, 1925 in Biloxi to the late Raymond Terry, Sr. and Jessie Williams Terry.
Raymond graduated from Biloxi High School in 1943 and subsequently joined the U.S. Navy where he served until 1946. He participated in the Atlantic crossings to Europe and North Africa during World War II.
While sailing out of Boston, MA, he met Josephine Condangelo, the love of his life, they were married in 1947, and returned to Biloxi to make their home.
Raymond worked in general construction and cabinet making his entire life along the MS Gulf Coast. He owned Terry's Cabinet Works and also worked for the late Jim Starks, finally retiring from J.O. Collins Construction. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 2434 and the BPOE 606. Raymond was an avid fisherman who enjoyed many years of pursuing this sport in many rivers and lakes and all along the coast.
Raymond was pre-deceased by his parents, Raymond and Jessie Terry; his wife, Josephine Condangelo Terry; and sisters, Edna Simon, Jessie Lee Caughey, and Mildred Terry.
He is survived by two sons, Raymond Terry, III,of Orange Beach, AL and David Terry and his wife Janet of Biloxi, MS; two grandchildren, Jason Terry of Metairie, LA and Corbin Terry and wife Melanie of Germantown, TN; three great-grandchildren, Izzy, Addie, and Hayden Terry; and four nieces, Kay Bankston, Gerrie Weldon, Judy Hansen, and Emma Lee Gaspard.
The family would like to thank the entire staff of the Armed Forces Retirement Home and Hospice of Light for their exceptional care. In lieu of flowers please donate to the charity of your choice.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL Home, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi. A procession will leave the funeral home chapel at 2:10 PM for a 2:30 graveside service with military honors at Biloxi National Cemetery.
