Millard Dayton Furniss

Millard Dayton Furniss, 78, of Gulfport, passed away on July 21, 2014.
Dayton was born in Salisbury, MD on December 13, 1935. He retired as an air traffic controller for the United States Air Force and as a manager at Sears.
Dayton is survived by his wife Bonnie, sons Dayton Howard, Jeffery Scott (Tracy), and daughter Terri Kolb (Gerald), and grandchildren, Porter Dayton, Carson, Griffin, Helen and Brad, three great grandchildren all of Baton Rouge, LA., and other family in Maryland. He is also survived by four stepchildren Don Turley, Brad Turley, Diane Schumm, and Teresa Stutsman, eleven grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren.
Dayton was preceded in death by his first wife, Judith White Furniss, his five sisters, Rebecca F. Brittingham, Thelma F. Miller, Hilda F. Keller, Lola F. Murphey and their parents Woodland and Lola Dayton Furniss.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2014, at 12'Noon at the Community of Christ Church in Ocean Springs, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery, with military honors rendered by the United States Air Force Honor Guard.
Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, served the family.
