Marlen ""Rick"" Richter, age 85, passed away May 21, 2015 in Biloxi.
Rick served 28 years with the US Air Force, serving in both Korea and Vietnam. After retiring, he earned his Bachelor's and MBA from Southern Mississippi University. He had a second career as a public accountant, maintaining financial records for local businesses until his death. He was a devoted member of the Lutheran Church since his confirmation in 1943.
He's preceded in death by his son Michael, his wife Rosa, and his brother Robert.
Survivors include his sister Elaine; children Mark, Marty (Janet), & Marisa; grand-children Melia, Mariel, Mark, & Jennifer; great-granddaughters Madison & Anna; and several close and life-long friends. The family wishes to express its gratitude to Mike & Becky for their care & support. Rick was a quick-witted, creative, gentle, and generous spirit, who positively impacted many lives. To all who knew him well... ""Later.""
The public viewing will begin at 10:30 a.m., Friday May 29, at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Biloxi, followed by a service at 11:30 a.m., then a graveside service with military honors at the National Cemetery in Biloxi at 12:30 p.m., before returning to the Church for lunch and a social gathering.
