Lynn Freeman Kimble

Lynn Freeman Kimble, age 83, passed away September 22, 2010.
Mrs. Kimble was born on September 2, 1927 in Galveston, TX. She was a resident of New Orleans and Metairie until 1990. From 1990 until 2010 she was a resident of Pass Christian.
Lynn attended Henry W. Allen Elementary School, Sophie B. Wright High School, and Newcomb College all in New Orleans.
She was very active in St. Martin Episcopal School, Metairie, annual fair known as ""Heavenly Days"" for many years and was President of the Mothers Club.
She sewed quilts with a group of ladies for the Friends of the Cabildo Museum. She was a member of St. Charles Avenue Presbyterian Church for 70 years, the Friends of Pass Christian Library; and the Pass Christian Yacht Club.
She and her husband have owned their house in Pass Christian since 1973, and she loved and enjoyed the community and all of the people of Pass Christian. She was a loving and compassionate wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.
She was one of four daughters of Mr. William Freeman and Mrs. Elizabeth Bocage Freeman.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years Mr. William Aitken Kimble and their four children, Steven W. Kimble, John G. Kimble,MD, Linda K. Powell, and William F. Kimble.
Lynn is survived by her two sisters, Mrs. Lorraine Freeman Foley and Mrs. Coral Freeman Ellis.
She is also survived by her grandchildren; Wendy Kimble, Heather Kimble, Kathryn Kimble Arner, Emily Kimble, John G. Kimble, Jr., William A. Powell, Philip Powell, Ryan Kimble, Grace Kimble, and Neil Kimble; and 3 great grandchildren.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Monday, September 27, 2010, at 11:00 am, officiated by Dr. Donald Frampton of St. Charles Presbyterian Church, New Orleans and The Reverend Christopher Colby of Trinity Church, Pass Christian, with a visitation starting at 9:00 am until service time, at Trinity Church, 125 Church St, Pass Christian.
Interment will be private for family in Live Oak Cemetery, Pass Christian.
RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Pass Christian is assisting the family with arrangements.
