Lexie Elizabeth Hogan Bond

Lexie Elizabeth Hogan Bond, was born on September 21, 1919 in New Orleans, and died on August 26, 2014, in Gulfport, just shy of her 95th birthday.
She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and the Perkinston Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, and her flower gardens. She will be sorely missed by her dog, Daisy.
Mrs. Bond was preceded in death by her parents, Esco and Janie Hogan; her husband, Jeffie Bond; her sons, Walter Ray Bond and Richard Bond, Sr.; her grandchildren, Russell Bond and Miranda Montgomery; one great grandchild; her sister, Josie and several half-sisters.
She is survived by her 4 daughters, Iona Baucum of Perkinston, Judy (Ledell) Montgomery and Avonelle (Jeff) Pugh all of Saucier, and Margie (Hank) Potts of Houston, TX; her 2 sons, Daniel (JoAnn) Bond of Fort Payne, AL and George Bond of Iuka, MS; 18 grandchildren, Jana Avant, Stephen Bond, Chris Baucum, Melissa Schroeder, Richard Bond, Jr., Eric Bond, Heather Cox, Nathan Bond, Cammy Leitner, Megan Stark, Jason Pugh, Cyndi Wyles, Aimee Pugh, Stephanie Cochran, Marie Smith, Daniel Bond, Elizabeth Potts, and Matthew Potts; 34 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren; her brother, Jessie (Helen) Hogan of Baton Rouge, LA; her sisters, Ola Daniel and Marie (Willie) Bain all of Baton Rouge; and numerous step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nephews, and nieces.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 29, 2014, at 11:00am at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road in Gulfport, where family and friends may visit from 9:00am until service time. Burial will follow at Saucier Cemetery.
