Jane Ann Geil

Jane Ann Geil, age 57, of Saucier, passed away on March 21, 2013 in Gulfport.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Clarence Geil and her maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl I. Switzer.
She is survived by her partner, Jean Crawford of Saucier; her parents, Jerry and Peggy Geil of Gulfport; and her siblings, Vickie Swan (Dennis), Lynn Geil (Jenine Garrison), Sharon Burns (Jay), Karen Walkinshaw (Howard), and Debra Knapp (Walter); her nieces and nephews, Dennis Swan, Jr., Ashley McCabe (Zach), Howie Walkinshaw (Ronda), Kelley Ladner (Chris), Christine Permenter (Donnie), Brittany Knapp, Jay Burns, Jr., Jacob Burns, and Karen Burns; her great nieces and nephews, Ava McCabe, Gracyn Walkinshaw, Lily McCabe, Erica Permenter, Luke Ladner, and Grant Walkinshaw; her life-long friend, Brenda Stover.
Jane Ann was a life-long resident of Gulfport. She was a 1973 graduate of Harrison Central High School where she was a star basketball player, and received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. She retired from DuPont after 28 years of service. Jane Ann enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews and participating in the Corvette Club.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at Gulf Haven Mennonite Church, Gulfport, from 1:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held in the church sanctuary at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Gulf Haven Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions go to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org/donate).
