Again, still unable to sit idle, he purchased a home in Perkinston, Ms where he built custom furniture in his shop and did this until three weeks before he passed away. Jack enjoyed life and had many hobbies but, what he enjoyed the most was taking care of his beloved dogs and spending quality time with his family, grandchildren, great grandchildren and the many friends he made during his lifetime.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father, his sister Julia Anderson in 2012 and his loving wife Alene who passed away in 1988.
Survivors include his son Donald ""Skip"" Heston and his wife Christine; two grandsons, Donnie Heston and his wife Shauna and their two children (great grandchildren) Taylor Heston and Bryant Heston; and his grandson, David Heston and his daughter (great grandchild) Amanda Heston.
