Irene B. Garriga, age 86, of Long Beach, passed away on October 25, 2014, in Gulfport, MS.
She was preceded in death by 17 days by her husband, Laverne L. Garriga; her parents, Everett C. Bostic and Lena Mae Bostic; one brother and three sisters.
She is survived by her children, Jean (Frank) O'Reilly of Dallas, TX, and Glenn (Tammy) White of Gulfport, MS; her step-children, Gary (Sonia) Garriga of the Fenton community, MS, and Reginald (Brenda) Garriga of Saucier, MS; her grandchildren, Bryan (Valerie) Worth, Brad (Jennifer) Worth, Jarren (Angie) Worth, Geoffrey (Joni) White, Carter (Kayla) White, Erin (Henry) Rapp, and Cody Garriga; and eight great-grandchildren.
Irene was a native of Flora, MS. She retired from BellSouth/AT&T after 33 years of service. She also volunteered at Memorial Hospital at Gulfport for many years.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29, 2014, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 19130 Commission Rd., Long Beach, MS, from 6-8 PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 30, 2014, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church at 11 AM.
Burial will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery.
Memorial Donations can be made to Cheshire Manor at 470 Cheshire Dr., Gulfport, MS, 39507.
