Henry L. Fulton

Henry Luke Fulton, Sr., 97, passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2016 after a long illness.
A native of Kemper County, Mississippi, he served in the Civilian Conservation Corps as a young man from October, 1937 to November 1941. He was drafted into the Army Air Corps in July 1942 during World War II, and left the military in January 1946. He met and married his wife, Adeline (Bella) Fonte, in Atlantic City, NJ in 1944. In 1946, he and Bella relocated to the Washington, DC Metro area, where they raised six children. He held the concession for the barbershop in the Pentagon Officers Athletic Club in Washington, DC from 1946 to 1988. He also owned and operated Luke's Radio & TV Service in Suitland, MD from 1948 to 1992. He served in the Knights of Columbus, 3rd degree member, and was a member of the American Legion for many years.
He leaves behind his sons, Henry L. Fulton, Jr. (Judy), Robert G. Fulton, and Daniel C. Fulton, and daughters Leslie Anne Fulton Weatherly, Anita Fulton Freeman (Michael), and Lisa Fulton Gaylor, (Richard); brother, James Arnold Fulton, and sister, Sara Earline Fulton Adams; sisters-in-law, Linda Vickers Farmer (Spencer), Yvonne Turner Fulton, and Lorraine Sullivan Fulton; 15 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and one great, great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, George Houston and Vadie Luke Fulton; his wife, Adeline ""Bella"" Fulton; sisters, Bonnie Syble McKnight and Amanda Imogene Edwards; brothers, Harry Miller Fulton, William Clinton Fulton, George Marvin Fulton, Jack Ronald Fulton, and Clifton Earl Fulton; sisters-in law, Sadie Ishee Fulton and Martha Vance Fulton; brothers-in-law ""Sonny"" Adams, Frank Edwards, and Phil McKnight; niece, Linda Fulton; nephew, Homer McKnight, and grandson, Shawn Fulton.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Rd., Biloxi, MS. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Biloxi. Burial will follow at the Biloxi National Cemetery at 12:30 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Center, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105.
