Hazel Erhard

Hazel Shows Erhard, 94, of Long Beach, passed away in Mobile, Alabama on Tuesday, May 19, 2015.
Mrs. Erhard was a native of Jones County, Mississippi. She was a Master Gardener and she loved to travel and had been all over the world. She was a member the DAR-Daughters of the American Revolution, Friendship Oak Chapter; a member of the Jazz Society; served on the Board of the Long Beach Library; and was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church where she participated in the Scripture Study Group.
Mrs. Erhard was preceded in death by parents, Boley and Ollie Shows; her husband, Francis Erhard; sisters, Wava Polk, Sue Hollingshead and Vonceil ""Pete"" Baucum; brothers, Pratt Shows and Albert Shows; and her daughter, Nan Cologgi.
Survivors include her daughter, Frances S. Cherry (Drew); sister, Bobbie Thomas; grandsons, Andrew F. Cherry, Jr. (Julianna) and William Dean Cherry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 22nd where friends may visit one hour prior at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Long Beach.
Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery in Gulfport.
