Garett Ryan Kline, age 26, died on Sunday, September 24th, 2016 in Gulfport, MS. He was born in Vacaville, CA at Travis Air Force Base on October 6th, 1989 to Albert Letch and Sandra Kline. He went to St. James Elementary School, St. John Catholic High School, and then graduated from St. Stanislaus College Prep in Bay St. Louis, MS in 2008.
Garett was an avid golfer since the age of 2 and his development as a skilled golfer started at Windance Country Club with his father. He was proficient in computer engineering and electronics. He loved all music and often traveled all over the country to see his favorite artist. In school, he always was the one who would take care of the little ones on the playground and treated everyone as his equal. He loved his pets and empathized with them if they were ever hurt or mistreated. He was an extremely loyal friend, often giving the shirt off his back to help those in need. Garett loved quality time with his family and would often be the jovial storyteller at family gatherings.
He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Emory ""Bud"" Kline and his maternal grandmother, Mary Pickett. He is survived by his father and mother, two sisters, Crystal Kline (Gabrahm Vitek) and Heather Kline. He is still survived by his paternal grandmother Fran Kline and maternal grandfather, Jack Pickett. The paternal extended family includes; his aunt Monique (Faron) Barton; cousins, Carson, Robbie, and Hannah. The maternal extended family includes his Uncle Harold (Linda) Pickett, cousins Page (Ashley) Pickett and Cayden, and Pike (Jessica) Pickett.
Those who will also miss him include a plethora of friends and extended family.
His family knows he is in heaven playing his most perfect game of golf and on the most pristine fairways. We love you and miss you.
A memorial will take place for friends and family at St. Peter's by the Sea Episcopal Church's Parish Hall in Gulfport, MS on Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 1pm-3pm.
