Eva Blanchard Fountain, age 100, resident of St. Martin, passed away on Tuesday, February 24, 2015.
Mrs. Fountain was born in Lake Arthur, LA to Louis and Amelia Cormier Blanchard and had been a Coast resident for most of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Elvin Fountain; her parents; her daughter, Joan Marie Fountain; her siblings, Edna Taylor, Irene Blanchard, Howard Blanchard, Milton Blanchard, Clyde Blanchard, Isabelle Trahan, and Yvonne Babuchna.
She is survived by her children, Norma Jean Fields (Flip) of St. Martin, Beverley Quave (Arthur) of Latimer, and Douglas Fountain (Susan) of Latimer; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Latimer, at 10:00 am. Visitation will be held one hour prior at the church.
Burial will follow at Swetman Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Society, Christ the King Catholic Church, Latimer.
