Elena Claire Lacoste

Elena Claire Lacoste, 13, passed into heaven on Monday, January 26, 2015 in Biloxi, MS. Elena was born into her parents' hearts on June 25, 2001. Elena loved to dance, she loved dolphins and all things sea life, she loved life. Elena enjoyed choreographing her own beautiful dances to music for her own enjoyment. She was musically talented, playing clarinet at Biloxi Junior High School Band, had taught herself keyboard, and was teaching herself guitar before she passed. She was a strong young lady in character, actions, and spirit. She is beautiful in every sense of the word. She was loved by many and is being grieved by all who knew her. Her life was blossoming at the time it was cut short. She is now unencumbered by the things of this world and is free to be the loving and joyful spirit that is truly Elena.
""Elena"" in Spanish means ""bright"" and ""Claire"" is French for ""bright."" Our little Bright Bright lived up to those names all the time. The few lucky people she let into her heart knew she was a loyal trusting friend through thick and thin.
Elena will be missed by her loving parents, Barbara Carlow Lacoste and Jeffery Lacoste, her sister, Evita Rae Lacoste, her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Sterling Kay Carlow of Pascagoula, aunts, uncles, cousins, and so many of our loving friends we have claimed as our family.
Elena is preceded in death by her ""Grandma Bobbie"" and ""Grandpa Peachie"" Lacoste of Ocean Springs and other departed ones who are greeting her now with open arms, kisses, and laughter. May her laughter and spiritual wisdom continue to flow in our hearts.
Visitation will be this Saturday, January 31, from 10 a.m. to noon with Service following at Heritage United Methodist Church, 4322 Popps Ferry Road, d'Iberville. Burial will be at Southern Memorial Park, Highway 90, Biloxi.
We ask that, in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Heritage United Methodist Church Youth, 4322 Popps Ferry Road, d'Iberville, MS 39540 and/or Boys and Girls Club IP Center, 10444 Lamey Street, d'Iberville, MS 39540 where she had been selected as Outstanding Junior Youth for 2013.
