Douglas Peterman

Douglas L. Peterman, age 89, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, July 4, 2017.
Mr. Peterman was preceded in death by his parents, Julius H. and Mary Alice
Peterman; his brothers, Julius, Homan, Roy, Pat, Richard, and Carroll Peterman; his sisters, Alice Stewart, Esther Cowart and Ila Scott; and his granddaughter, Jena
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Jean C. Peterman; his sons, Steve Peterman (Jan) and Sammy Peterman (Joan); his daughter, Jenny Peterman; his sister, Mary Workman; his granddaughter, Jana Peterman; his grandson, Matt Peterman (Kristin); and his great-grandchildren, Logan, Riley, Maelie, and Hannah.
Douglas graduated from Lyman High School where he excelled in Basketball and Track. Following his graduation, he served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, both active duty and reserve.
Mr. Peterman was a Master Machinist/Tool and Die Maker with over 65 years of experience. He loved woodworking and gardening, but his passion for many years was coaching the Lyman Little League Baseball Teams through the 60's and 70's.
He will be sadly missed by family and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 8, 2017, from 12:00 until 2:00 PM, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. Graveside Service will follow in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, Gulfport, MS.
