Douglas Howard Cuevas, age 68, of White Cypress, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017.
Mr. Cuevas was born in Poplarville to Olige and Pauline Smith Cuevas. He was a lifelong resident of White Cypress. He was a farmer, known for his integrity and kindness, and was a mentor to many in the community.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his sister, Cheryl Cuevas and his nephew, Brian Cuevas of White Cypress. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, hay haulers, and watermelon pickers.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017, at Shiloh Baptist Church, Highway 603, in the Necaise Community, from 6-10pm.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017, at 10am in the church sanctuary.
Burial will follow at Necaise Crossing Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shiloh Youth Fund, c/o Dinah Bond, 28150 Bill Cap Ladner Road, Perkinston, MS 39573, or charity of one's choice.
