Donna Marie Christodoulou passed away on June 11, 2017. She was born on March 31, 1942 in Houston, TX to Eugene and Mary Louise Hoyt.
She attended her sophomore year at Gulfport High School where she met her future husband, Leon Christodoulou.
After her father, who was in the military, was transferred back to Belleville, IL at Scot Air Force Base, she finished her high school years at Belleville Township High and continued to the Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in St. Louis, MO.
She married Leon Christodoulou in the Greek Orthodox Church in East St. Louis and returned to Gulfport, MS to a career as a registered nurse. She worked at the VA for 33 ½ years where she retired. She was a chapter member of the Society of Honor of Rainbow Girls of Gulfport, MS.
Donna was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband, Leon Christodoulou; her son, Gregory Christodoulou (Dr. Angela Stephens); her sister Sharon Hoyt Cline; grandchildren, Fiona Joye, Nicholas Christodoulou; and wonderful party friends and career nursing friends.
