Dominick Lawrence Fimiano, Sr., age 71, a resident of Biloxi since 1952, passed away Sunday, May 22, 2016, in Gulfport. Mr. Fimiano, born in Denver, Colorado, and a native of Easton, PA, served one tour of duty in Vietnam in the U.S. Marine Corps and two tours of duty in Vietnam in the U. S. Navy from the period of 1961-1966. He served aboard the USS Kitty Hawk and was a recipient of the Vietnam Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
He was a founding member of the West Jackson County Volunteer Fire Department, and a lifetime member of the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans, and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 29 years of service. In his free time, he worked with the St. Vincent DePaul Society at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in D'Iberville and enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and cabinetry.
Mr. Fimiano is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Kathy Hall Fimiano of Biloxi; his children, Tara St. Clair and her husband Jim of Biloxi, Dominick Fimiano, Jr. and his wife Ashley of Long Beach, and ""Tony"" Fimiano and his wife Kristi of Petal; his sisters, Maisie Reece, Mary Helen Hosli and her husband Clifton, and Anna Marie Mitzen and her husband Robert; his grandchildren, Tyler and Isabella St. Clair, and Michael, Sophia, and Emma Kate Fimiano; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony Lawrence Fimiano and Bethel Ingram St. Amant; brothers, Edmund St. Amant, Jr. and Melvin St. Amant; and sisters, Lucille St. Amant and Miriam Schwede.
Friends are invited to visit from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2016, at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 274 Beauvoir Road, Biloxi.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 1, 2016, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church with visitation one hour prior to Mass.
Interment with military honors will follow in Biloxi National Cemetery.
