Charles Anthony Kriss

Charles Anthony Kriss, Sr., age 80, of Biloxi passed away on Tuesday, October 6.
""Charlie"" Kriss was born in Biloxi and was a lifelong native. He graduated from d'Iberville High School and Perkinston Junior College, where he played basketball and baseball. He began his career with the Biloxi Police Department in 1956. Along with serving in the National Guard, he graduated from the FBI National Academy in 1976. He retired from the Police Department as Chief of Detectives in 1977. Afterwards, he began a second career as Head of Security for Munro Petroleum Terminal Corporation, retiring from there in 2003. He held memberships in the Masonic Lodge as well as the Elks.
He met and married Ann Bundy, a Virginia native, in Biloxi. They were married on October 11, 1957 at the First Evangelical Church of Biloxi, later known as the Back Bay Mission. They had three children.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Lilly Kriss (née Forehand); his wife, Ann Bundy Kriss; a son, Charles Anthony Kriss, Jr. and a son-in-law, Wayne David Moore, Sr.
He is survived by two daughters, Andrea Kriss Moore of Biloxi, and Kelli Kriss McKie of St. Louis, MO; eight grandchildren, David Moore of Biloxi and his sister, Krissi Moore of Memphis, TN, Danny Kriss and his sister Alyssa Kriss, both of Biloxi, and Bryn, Alyson, Jake, and Ian McKie of St. Louis, MO.
Friends are invited to visit from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9, 2015 at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, Biloxi. The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday at First United Methodist Church of Biloxi, where friends may visit one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Biloxi City Cemetery.
