Charles Henry Bosarge

Charles Henry Bosarge, age 84, of St. Martin, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2013.
Mr. Bosarge was born to Leuma James Bosarge and Verina Marie Groue Bosarge and was a lifelong resident of St. Martin. He served in the United States Army and was a carpenter by trade. He was a musician in his younger years and sang at the Grand Ole Opry. He built boats and made cast nets in his spare time. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, the French Club in Biloxi, the old D'Iberville Community Center, and former member of the VFW.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Mary Beatrice Sharrock and Martha Ann Landry; and brother, James Bosarge, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mercedes Hebert Bosarge of St. Martin; children, Mike Bosarge of St. Martin, Alan Bosarge (Teresa) of Ocean Springs, Glen Bosarge(Shellie) of Mobile, AL, Sheila Bosarge Foster (Jay) of Ocean Springs; sister, Catherine Lawrence; and grandchildren, Chris Bosarge, Dustin Bosarge, J.R. Foster, Priscilla Foster, Angelica Foster, Gabriel Foster, and Giselle Foster; and great grandson, Daniel Bosarge.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 20, 2013, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, D'Iberville, MS, at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will be held two hours prior to Mass.
Burial will follow at Groue Cemetery.
