Cap L. Jeannerett, age 71, passed away July 23, 2016.
He was born on December 4, 1944 in Cochranton, PA. In 1964, he joined the U.S. navy where he later went on to serve 2 tours in Vietnam. During his military career he earner several awards, medals, and ribbons including several Good Conduct Awards, a letter of Commendation from the Rear Admiral of the U.S. Navy, the National Defense Service medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Navy Expeditionary Medal, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon with 3 bronze stars, Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, Navy Battle ""E"" with 2 ""E's"", and a Navy Unit Commendation.
Upon his retirement for the Navy, Cap and his family stayed in Gulfport where he worked in construction industry and at Lowe's and Wal-Mart before finally retiring for good. Cap was a loving husband, father, grandfather, proud veteran, and an avid supporter and participant in several gatherings of all Seabee Reunions.
Cap was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Howard and Katie May Jeannerett.
He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Sharon Jeannerett of Gulfport, MS; his son, Scott (Amanda) Jeannerett; and grandson, Braxton; his brother, Kip Jeannerett; his sister, Iva Morris; and many beloved friends and neighbors.
Friends are invited to visit with the family on Thursday, July 28, 2016 from 1:00 until 1:50pm at RIEMANN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 11280 Three Rivers Rd., followed by a graveside service in Biloxi National Cemetery at 2:30pm.
