Brenda Storie

Brenda G. Storie, age 59, formerly of Fairhope, AL and longtime resident of Gulfport, MS passed away July 13, 2017.
She was a graduate of Gulfport East High School in 1975. She attended classes at Jefferson Davis Community College and the University of Southern Mississippi after high school. After college Brenda was a nurse's aide and unit secretary at Gulfport Memorial Hospital where she retired from after 34 years. She was a loving mother to her children and their friends, and grandmother to her two grandsons. She was also a devoted, loving wife to her longtime best friend and husband. She will be remembered through all of the kind, selfless acts that she performed and her time and love that she gave to her loved ones.
Brenda is preceded in death by her mother, Frances Inez York; grandmother, Ethel Reinhart "Mama Dear" Brown; and grandfather, George F. Brown Sr.
She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Jarvis Storie; son, Mitchel Storie and his wife Jill Storie; daughter, Miranda Pavolini and her husband Michael Pavolini; her father, George F. "Buddy" Brown, Jr.; brother, George F. Brown III; two grandsons, Conner Pavolini and Samuel Storie; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Gulfport Heights Baptist Church on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at 6 p.m. with visitation for the public between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. The graveside services will be on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at Brook Cedron Cemetery in Fairhope, AL at 9:30 a.m.
